SSP is pleased to announce that Vipin Narang, Frank Stanton Professor of Nuclear Security and Political Science, was promoted from Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy to Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space Policy, effective Monday, May 20. He is taking over for Dr. John Plumb, who served as the first assistant secretary of defense for space policy from March 2022 to May 2024.
