SSP Professor Richard J Samuels was interviewed in a recent Korean documentary on Min Jin Lee. Lee came to MIT in the fall of 2018 to speak at a Starr Forum on her book, Pachinko, which chronicles four generations of an ethnic Korean family, first in Japanese-occupied Korea in the early 20th century, then in Japan itself from the years before World War II to the late 1980s.
